"The Department of Human Settlements, Provincial Government of the Western Cape wishes to strengthen its valuable links with local academics through the creation of a strong forum for debate and dialogue with the aim and objective of building an efficient, competent and well managed civil service at Provincial and Local Government level.  It believes that such a forum could inform and enrich its decisions and actions, to the benefit of all in our province.

The Forum will serve educators and researchers by providing a platform for sharing ideas and gaining knowledge to the advantage of their students and their research in the field of the development of Human Settlements, ensuring they are well equipped with the knowledge to fulfil this important role in building a prosperous South Africa."
